Susumu's final lecture

Susumu is going to retire on the 31st of March this year and his final lecture was held on Feb 16.

It is a public event so I took half day holiday to participate it, as I was never sure what he was teaching!

It was mixed feeling to know how he was as a professor. 

I appreciate his work-life and I'd like to celebrate his happy retirement.

3月でついに定年退職を迎える父。

約20年間扶養してもらいながらも、その食い扶持である教義内容、専門性については全然わかっていなかったことに気づき、2月16日、最終講義が開かれるというので、半休を取って大学に行ってみました。

なんだか複雑な心境でしたが、無事最終講義も終え、いい形で定年退職を迎えられたことをうれしく思います。

 

 

4 months old baby

2月7日、育休中の会社の同僚が遊びきてくれました★。

久々の赤ちゃん、癒されるー♪

Song & Dance Recital

We had 'Song & Dance Recital' at a large hall on 11th of Feb.

Meiko and Hinata came to see it.

Simon's birthday

Simon became 5 years old on Feb 9.

Simon was still sleepy even after moving out from bed.

2016年2月9日、志門は5歳の誕生日を迎えました。

眠たくてソファーに移ってからも眠る志門。

 Birthday gifts from Ib and Betty made him very happy. Mange Tak! He loves all of the gifts and birthday card with Shinkansen.

ウルトラマンのコスチュームやおもちゃをゲットして大喜び。

After coming back from Kindergarten, Simon went shopping to get a gift from Meiko and we had dinner together as Susumu was out on the day. 

幼稚園から帰った後は、おばあちゃんとお買い物。仮面ライダーグッズを買ってもらい、そのままいっしょに晩ご飯。

へーーーーーーん

ろうそくの割には高かったけど志門が喜ぶからと思い買ったこまちキャンドル。

すぐに火が消えるではないか！

結果的に志門は大喜びやったけど・・・

 Meiko gave him 5 tickets, for example, to have dinner at her place, to go to amusement park, movie theater etc.  They all have terms of validity on the back, so we have to be careful not to miss it!

Susumu got an award from Osaka City on Jan 23, regarding his long term research and contribution to improve environment.
Congratulations!

父が大阪市環境表彰を受賞したとのことで、1月23日、家族みんなで授賞式に行ってきました。
お父さん、おめでとう！
