Sort of Christmas decoration

We just found this Christmas decoration on the way home from Rikugien.

Rikugien-六義園

On Sunday, we went out to finally see colored leaves.

But again, it was too late to see them in daylight due to Simon's nap.

So we went to Rikugien (Japanese garden) since they have evening illumination.

By the way, there should be 400 maple trees, though we couldn't find that many in dark.

今日こそは紅葉を！ということで400本のもみじがあり、ライトアップもあるという六義園へ。

400本もどこにあるのか、暗くてわからなかったものの、一応ちょこっとは紅葉を見ることができました。

ちなみに、この写真ではわからないものの、入園にも並び、園内でもなかなか自由に歩け回れないぐらいの人ごみでした。

The park was very crowded and Simon wanted to be carried all the time.

His weight is 12 kilograms so it's hard muscle training!

公園内ではずっと抱っこ。

人ごみで泣かしたくなかったので、12キロを1時間抱っこし、肩や腕がパンパンです。

ちなみに志門は、抱っこして欲しいときは近寄ってきて手を差し出し、「おいで、おいで」と言います。

「反対やろ。」と突っ込みながら抱っこ★

Simon became sleepy and ate Senbei (rice cracker) repeating 'senbei senbei' in small voice.

眠たくなったのか、「せんべい　せんべい」と小さな声でつぶやきながらひたすらせんべいをかじる志門

Just before reaching home, he felt asleep.

いつものように、帰宅直前で寝ちゃいました。

Shiba-park

The autum has come and the leaves are turning in Tokyo lately.

On Saturday, we went to Shiba park to take Simon on the train and to see colored leaves.

Simon gets most excited to see running trains.

When he is on board, he tries to get off, looking at other trains and shouting Densha-ni! Densha-ni !(to train, to train) So, I always tries to find the way to divert his interest away from getting off the train.

3連休そして紅葉シーズン。

電車好きの志門のために、電車に乗って紅葉を見に行こうということで、芝公園へ。

志門はもみじやイチョウの葉を拾ってはしゃぎ、芝の上を自由に走り回り、それをほほえましく見守る両親・・・というイメージで行ったものの、着いた時には志門は眠そうで、全然歩きたがらない上、80本あるはずのもみじの木は見つからず・・・(×_×)　

とりあえず「電車を見て志門が喜んだ」というだけで 終わりました（笑）

ちなみに志門は動いている電車を見ると大興奮するものの、同じ電車に乗っていると退屈するようで、他の電車を見ながら「電車に！電車に！」と叫びながら降りたがります。

かなり大声で叫ぶので、興味をそらすために、駅名を実況したり、ドアが閉まるまでの秒数を数えたりと、他のことに興味を持たせるのに常に必死です（＾＾；）

We couldn't leave earlier since Simon was taking nap.

And it was too late to see colored leaves unfortunetely.

Besides, we couldn't find maple trees there since the park is large and separated even though there should be 80 maple trees in the park.

I thought we can reach the maple tree spot if we follow the crowds, however we realized that their destination was not colored leaves but Tokyo tower with Christmas decorations.
人ごみについていけば、芝公園内にあるというもみじ谷にたどり着けるかと思ったら、ついたところが東京タワー＆クリスマスイルミネーションでした。

Meiko again

Meiko came to Tokyo to participate reunion party this weekend.

She stayed at our place, even though it was only when sleeping and breakfast since she was busy with meeting her friends.

Simon was dreaming for taking trains for two weeks, so we took train when we see her off at Tokyo station.

お母さんが再び東京へ。

うちに泊まったものの、同窓会三昧だったので10時過ぎに帰ってきて、朝ごはんを食べて出て行って飲んで・・・といった感じでした（笑）

志門は2週間ほど電車に乗りたがっていたので、お母さんを見送りがてら東京駅へ行きました。

いっぱい歩いて、色々な電車を見て満足げでした（＾＾）

New words

Simon is learning words every day.
However sometimes he makes mistakes like these;

毎日いろんな言葉を真似する志門。
でもなぜか覚え間違えがあるようで・・・

開ける⇔閉める

（トイレに私が入っている時、ドアの前で）「閉めてぇ！閉めてぇ！」

痛い⇔ごめん

（一人で遊んでいて、足をどこかにぶつけて）
「ごめん～　ごめん～（；；）」

おかえり⇔ただいま

（私が帰って）　
有希子「ただいま！」
志門「ただいま！」

My dear granpa Keiji at 93 years old

My granpa at 93 years old came to Tokyo to participate Osamu's funeral.
Meiko came to Tokyo first and went to Kagoshima to pick him up and flied back to Tokyo on the same day. 　
Her load was Osaka-Tokyo-Kagoshima-Tokyo-Kagoshima-Osaka in a week. She is super tough!

My granpa, Keiji and Meiko stayed at our house for 2 nights and stayed at Osamu's house, Asako's house one night each later just like a small tour.

It was funny to see that Simon was following Keiji imitating his walking style, with his back bent and hands on his back.

鹿児島に住んでいる93才のおじいさんが、修おじさんの葬儀に参列するため上京しました。
タフなお母さんが爺ちゃんの介護をしながら大阪→東京→鹿児島→東京→鹿児島→大阪というロードをこなしました。

東京では、最初の二日間は爺ちゃんとお母さんがセットでうちに宿泊。
ビョァンは逃避しかけたものの、逃げ場もなくインベーダーにやられ・・・（笑）

じいちゃんと志門は2人とも何を言っているかわからないものの、お互いリアクションでコミュニケーションを図り、とっても楽しそうでした♪
志門がおもむろに手を後ろに回し、腰を曲げてじーちゃんの後をついて行くのを見たときは爆笑しました。

Simon likes to say 3 years old:
How old are you?  'I'm 3 years old'.
How old is your mother? '3 years old

Condolences

It is with great sadness I have to announce that my uncle Osamu had passed away on 31 Oct and we had funeral last weekend.
We are all deeply shocked to hear of the sudden death of him. Sadly, it was just before his retirement.
He was looking forward to the rest of his life after retirement, planning to travel around with Tomoko.

 He sometimes stayed at our house when he came to Osaka for business when I was small.
We always enjoyed his stay and had great time together.
 He was social, positive and kind, and always showed great hospitality.

May his soul rest in peace.

大変遺憾ながら10月31日、修伯父さんが他界してしまいました。

定年を間近に控えていて、定年後の旅行や山登りを満喫する生活を楽しみにされていただけに、無念でなりません。

うちに泊まりにきてくれて、明るく酔っ払った伯父さんと話をするのが楽しかったことや、夏休みにみんなで鹿児島に帰り、合宿のようにわいわい食卓を囲っていたこと、桃の実を採るために木に登ってくれてムカデに刺されてしまったこと、ビョァンを山登りに連れていってくれたことなどが、昨日のことのように思い出されます。

 天国で27年間に亡くなったおばあちゃんと再会し、安らかに永眠されるようお祈りいたします。
