Setsubun

"Setsubun" is a traditional Japanese event, which falls on either the 3rd or 4th of February.
It is the day that divides two seasons: winter and spring.
On this day, the "Bean-throwing Ceremony" is held at temples and shrines. Celebrities who are "Toshiotoko (a man who was born under the zodiac sign for that year)" are invited to throw these beans.
In the evening, people throw roasted soybeans inside and outside their houses. And the words "Oniwa-soto, Fukuwa-uchi!" meaning "Devils out! Happiness in!" are shouted.

It is a custom to eat as many roasted soybeans as your age.Roasted beans have been used as a charm against demons since ancient times.

Simon enjoyed wearing a devil mask and throwing soybeans toward Bjørn and myself, saying Oniwa soto!


保育園でもやったのか、鬼のお面をみた瞬間、「鬼は外！」と言いながら、ビョァンや私に豆を投げ始めました（＾＾；）

On Sunday, we visited Asako and Toshio's place and had lunch together.

日曜日は鞍掛家にお邪魔してランチをご馳走になりました。

  

Simon enjoyed using coffee mill and kept saying guru guru guru guru even after coming home.

コーヒーミルが気に入ったようで、家に帰ってからも「ぐるぐるぐるぐる・・・おじいちゃん　ぐるぐるした！」と呟いていました。

Toshio played a lot physically for Simon .

I hope he doesn't have pain on his back today.

ジャンプしたり、足で滑り台を作ったりと俊夫おじさんにいっぱい遊んでもらいました。

その後腰痛になっていないことを祈ります★  

Simon got excited at seeing trains and  railroad crossings.

It's good for Simon that there are many crossings around their house.

踏み切り＆電車に大興奮の志門

今も写真を見ながら「電車ガタンゴトンね！　踏み切りカ～ンカ～ン　カ～ンカ～ン。電車見よう！」と叫んでいます。

Tricycle & Granpa

Simon got very excited at getting a tricycle from Susumu and Meiko as his birthday present on Thursday.

He practiced riding it at home for the time being.

大阪のおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんから誕生日プレゼントの三輪車が届き、大興奮の志門。

組み立てが完成する前から、乗る！乗る！と大騒ぎ。

待ちきれないのでとりあえず家の中で練習してみました。

Susumu arrived at 21:00 and Simon got excited a lot at his visit.

He usualy like to take a bath but he didn't want to do it with me to play with Susumu.

Then, Simon enjoyed taking a bath with Susumu.

He felt asleep at 23:15 on the day.

じいちゃんが夜の9時に到着。

爺ちゃんの到着に大喜びの志門は、「お風呂いらない！」「お母さんいらない！」と大好きなお風呂も拒否。

結局じいちゃんと楽しくお風呂に入りました★

案の定興奮して夜の11時過ぎまで寝ませんでした（＾＾；）

Next day, Simon got slightly high fever and came home earlier from nursery.

Maybe, he got too excited at the tricycle and grampa.

翌日、保育園から「志門君、お熱があるようです」と電話がかかってきて早退する羽目に。

三輪車＆じいちゃんで、興奮しすぎたかな？

Simon says 'Gatan goton gatan goton (sound of train)' ' Be careful, the doors are opening' moving pieces of mandarine orange.

最近は、みかんを電車に見立てて「ガタンゴトン、ガタンゴトン、ドアが開きます。ご注意ください。」とアナウンスしています（笑）

I say 'Please don't climb me'. Simon repeats 'Please don't climb me'

Toshio and Asako's visit

Toshio and Asako visited us on Sunday to play with Simon.

Simon satisflied a lot by playing in the park in the morning with me, playing with them in the afternoon, and taking trains in the evening.

日曜日は俊夫おじさんと朝子おばちゃんが遊びにきてくれました。

いっぱい遊んでもらって、帰りには地下鉄にも乗れたので、志門大満足の一日でした★

A success in the lavatory

Simon wanted to go to the lavatory last night.
So I put him on toilet seat just as a small step for toilet training.

He enjoyed staying there for few min. but suddenly he felt like getting out  immediately.
I didn't know why at first but I got surprised at finding a big output there after his leaving!


昨夜、志門が急に「トイレ！行く！」と言い出したので、遊び&トイレトレーニングのつもりで連れていきました。

ずっと楽しく遊んでいたのに、急に降りたがったので不思議に思っていたら、志門を降ろしてびっくり。　そこには立派な落とし物が！

志門はなぜかパニックになりながらトイレから逃げていきました（笑）

ちなみに、志門の服の汚れは夕食のカレーです。
