Tojinbo

I thought going to Tojinbo is a must, just like Dinosaur museum for Bjørn.

We rented a car for the day.

福井県に行くならば東尋坊は譲れない・・・というわけで、最終日、レンタカーを借りてやって参りました。

I'm not scared this kind of place, but I was scared a lot when I see Simon was climbing rocks. I may be overprotecting but I think this is not the best place to try for the first time. I think Betty can agree on this.

志門のロッククライミングデビュー

自分は怖くないけど、志門が登るところを見ると冷や冷やして生きた心地がしませんでした・・・ 

怪我するのが怖くてちょっと過保護にしているかもしれないけど、それにしてもここは初めて練習するにはちょっとリスクが高すぎではないかと。

 I asked Simon what he wants to buy at souvenir shop, and his answer was 'I want to buy a rabbit!'.

志門にお土産何か買いたい？と聞くと「うさぎ買いたい！」と。。。残念ながら買えません。近くのコーナンで売ってるけども。

Famiy trip - Day 2

It took 1.5 hours to go to the museum from hotel by local train. Simon liked the short train and we liked the landscape. We saw buck wheat, rice, and bean fields.

旅館から恐竜博物館まではローカル線で約1.5時間の道のり。志門は1両や2両編成の電車が気に入り、私たちはそば畑、や田んぼなどののどかな風景を楽しみました♪　

Bjørn explained the history and differences of dinosaurs  to Simon, otherwise, Simon just run through.

単に走り回って駆け抜けてしまいがちな志門を捕まえて、恐竜の歴史や草食恐竜と肉食恐竜の違いなどを一所懸命説明。

明らかに志門よりもビョァンの方が楽しんでいました。

というわけで、これ以外にも恐竜のビデオと写真がいっぱい（笑）

Actually,  Bjørn enjoyed it more than Simon did.

That's why we have many photos and videos of dinosaurs.

Family trip - Day 1

We went to Fukui prefecture, north east of Osaka, for 2 nights and 3 days from 22. to 24. Sep.

There is big dinosaur museum in Fukui and this is where Bjørn had been hoping to visit. Simon got a cold with high fever on the 20th, so we worried whether we need to cancel this trip. But fortunately, he got it over soon and we could make it!

We could have gone there by car, but Simon wanted to take a special train, which is called Thunderbird, and Bjørn was afraid of my driving!

9月22日から23日、2泊3日で福井に旅行してきました★
ビョァンのお目当ては恐竜博物館。私は旅行できるならばどこでも良かったけど、基本、出不精のビョァンをやる気にさせるには恐竜しかないと思い、サンダーバードに乗れることをダシに志門もその気にさせて旅行を企てました♪

 ところが、火曜日志門が39度の熱を出し、やっと休みが取れたのに旅行もキャンセルか…とかなりブルーになりましたが、ただの風邪だったようで、寝かせまくってなんとか治し、熱も下がって無事決行できました。

本当は朝8時に出る予定だったところ、志門はしっかり寝かせたほうがいいし、ビョァンは起きないし、私はまだ仕事が残っていたので昼過ぎに出発。
なんとか夕食までには旅館に到着。

New hobby

Under Meiko's influence,  I started to enjoy painting on porcelain plates.  

We can buy white plates in 100 yen shop, so this is an inexpensive hobby.

 After many attempts with different colour, I found I like this pattern, and this pattern looks very much like MENU. 

オーブンで焼くまでは何度も書き直しができるので、いろんな色でいろんな模様を試した後この円模様に決定。

で、元々持っていた右上のコーヒーカップ、MENU（デンマークデザイン）に結構似ていることに気づきました★ 　なんだかブランドのパクリ的な・・・（でも合うからいいか）

Universal studios Japan 15th anniversary

 On Sep 4, Simon, Meiko and myself went to Universal Studios Japan (USJ), which is one of the most popular amusement park in Osaka.

Since it's 15th anniversary this year, children in Osaka can go though the gate for free. Bjørn doesn't like amusement park in general, so I was planning to go there with Simon. Then we found Meiko wanted to join us. 

We left home at 8:00 in the morning and stay USJ until 9:00 at night. 

Re-born is the theme of this year, and it was so enjoyable, refreshable and we felt 'Re-born'  mentally. On the other hand, It was so tiring physically and we could hardly walk when we went home.

9月4日、USJに行ってきました★

15周年で関西在住の子どもは無料（4日が最終日）ということで、かなり混在していましたが、朝8時に家を出て、9時ぎりぎりまで遊びまくりました。

Re-Born がテーマだったけど、本当にめちゃめちゃリフレッシュできました。

ビョァンはこの手のアミューズメントパークは嫌いなので、志門と二人で行くつもりにしていたら、「お母さんも行きたいな～、チケット代払ってくれたらあんたがジェットコースター乗っている間、志門見とくで。」と囁く声が。というわけで、契約成立★

おかげで、 ここ10年ぐらい乗れていなかった絶叫系にも乗れて大満足。

気持ちはリフレッシュしたもののさすがに体まではRe-bornできなかったようで、帰る頃には足が動かずみんな本当にヘロヘロでした（笑）

 Meiko is crying because Simon ran away without taking photo with her, just after taking a photo with me.

 「おばあちゃんとも写真撮ろう」というお母さんを無死して走り去る志門。嘆く母。

（え～いつも散々面倒見てあげているのに～！）

ひなちゃん、志門、兄ちゃん、お母さんで釣りに行き、子アジを釣ってきました★

粘りに粘った結果、志門も2匹釣れて超ご機嫌。

唐揚げにしておいしくいただきました♪

Hinata, Simon, my brother and Meiko went fishing the other weekend.

Simon didn't go home until he caught fish. Finally, he got two and ate three the following day.

Fireworks in Osaka ー 淀川花火大会

8月6日、家族3人で淀川花火大会に行ってきました。

あまりに人ごみと満員電車に志門はぐずり、ビョァンは機嫌が悪くなり、私は下駄で足が痛くなり、「こんなんやったらエアコンが効いた家で絵ゴロゴロしてたらよかったやん」と思う、いうシナリオも予想されたものの、「たまには3人で夏休みらしいイベントを」と思い珍しく奮起。

ビョァンもめずらしくその気になったので、このチャンスを逃すことはできないと、確実に花火を見るため事前に座席チケットまで購入しました★

家を出るとき大雨が降り出した上、花火が始まるまでの2時間は予想通り暑くて長かったものの、結果的には花火の美しさと迫力に大満足。風圧と爆音で何だか何発も銃で撃たれたような感じで、テレビと生ではやっぱり違いました。

いや、ほんとうに行って良かった・・・

志門は疲れていたはずなのに、規制がかかってなかなか会場から出れない時も楽しくしりとりをしたり、十三から中津駅まで歩いたりと、けっこう頑張ってくれました。

August 6, three of us went to a big fireworks event in  Umeda (central osaka).

We were worried that it will be too crowded, and I had concern if Bjørn and Simon can endure it for many hours, though I got used to such a situation.

On the other hand, I wanted to do something summer like and Bjørn agreed to the idea, which was a positive surprise to me. Therefore we bought seat tickets to ensure we can see the fireworks from best angle. 

As a result, it was really a great time for us.

It was so beautiful, powerful and impressive.

Simon could enjoy the one hour fireworks.

If you have time, please take a look at the edited version, though we couldn't shoot it by ourselves.
