Eyesight

It seems Simon's eyesight is becoming better and he started to get interested in surrounding goods.

he wanted to eat gorilla's hand but he couldn't move it as he liked.

志門はだんだん視力が良くなってきたようで、周りの物に関心を示すようになってきました。
昨夜はゴリラの手を口に入れようとして失敗。。

Doll's Festival - 3rd of March （雛祭り）

Families with girls celebrate 3rd of March as a day to wish for their growth and happiness. This family event originally began in medieval times and is also referred to as the Doll's Festival because families of girls display a set of dolls representing the Emperor, Empress, their servants, miniature furniture, and so forth, on a five or seven-tiered stand. Ancient people transferred their sins onto the dolls and threw them in rivers.

I have the big and fine doll set at my grand mather(farmor)'s house which I got from my grand father (morfar) in Kagoshima when I was born. Sadly, it was too big to keep in my small apartment.

People says the dolls should be put away after March 3, otherwise the girl bedcomes late bride. My families were lazy and didn't put them away soon every year :p

お雛さんは早く片付けないと婚期が遅くなると言われますが、そういえばうちは毎年片付けが遅れていたなぁと思いつつ・・・。

I made Chirashi-zushi (a kind of sushi) etc. for celebration.
ハマグリが高かったので、アサリのお吸い物に、菜の花のからし和えは、からしがなかったのでわさび和えになってしまいました（笑）

Mongolian Blue Spot（蒙古斑）

99.5% of Japanese babies (and majority of Mongolian, Korean babies etc.) has blue spot on buttocks. It disappears naturally in 3-5 years

One of my friends who gave birth in England had bad experience about it.
Doctors in England didn't know the Mongolian Blue Spot and they thought it was a stigma because of abuse!
It seems there are many cases like that.

そういえば志門に蒙古斑があるのか気になり、ちょっとお尻を見てみたところ、薄いものが左側にだけあるようです。
ちなみに、イギリスで出産した友達は、お医者さんが蒙古斑を知らなかったために、虐待によるあざと間違えられて大変だったそうです。

I found it difficult it difficult to take Simon's foto since he almost always want to drink milk!

志門はいつもミルクを飲みたがるので、写真を撮るタイミングが難しいです。
もう1枚もう1枚と、撮っている間に泣いちゃいました（笑）





He had been drinking milk for 3 hours, and finally he got tired and fell asleep.
3時間おっぱいを吸いつづけ、ついに疲れて寝ちゃいました。
