Business trip to Sydney

I have been in Australia for a week for Regional Human Resources Leadership meeting.

 I had dinner with one of my Chinese colleagues for the first night.

1週間、APACリージョンの人事リーダーシップミーティングでオーストラリアに出張してきました。

最初の夜は中国人の同僚と夕食を★

  

On Tuesday, we were invited to one of our colleagues house for dinner and our Australian boss took us there.

 火曜日はオーストラリア人の同僚が夕食に招待してくれて、オーストラリア人の上司の車でご自宅へ♪

Human Resources are female dominant department. 

We have many representatives from China and Australia, two from India, and I was the only person from Japan. They are all nice and friendly.

ちなみに人事のリーダーシップチームは二人を除いて全員女性で、みんな気さくで素敵な人たちです。

中国から5人、オーストラリアから4人、インドから2人、日本からは私1人。

While as was away, Bjørn cut Simon's hair without telling his hair dresser (me). That was surprise and shocking to me! I think it's a bit funny but still cute. 

なんと、出張中にビョァンが志門の髪の毛をバッサリ。
ちびまる子ちゃんかい！（笑）

Australian celebrate Patrick day (Irish holiday) as they have many Irish people. 

We had BBQ party at the site.

オーストラリアにはアイルランド出身者が多いということで、パトリックDayというアイルランドの祝日を お祝いするとか。
会社でもみんな緑のものを身につけてBBQ★

It was really hard days with packed agenda to me and I was so tired every day both mentally and physically, though I enjoyed working with Regional colleagues very much.

After the meeting, I walked around the beautiful Sydney town. 

The weather was fine and warm enough.


リージョンの同僚と仕事をするのは楽しいものの、毎日会議（もちろん英語）で心身ともにヘロヘロに ・・・

会議が終わった後は、美しいシドニーの町を散策しました。

30-40 Korean ladies with same pants and same hair style...

同じ髪型、同じズボン韓国人女性が30ｰ40人・・・

I found a brochure of Skydiving at a hotel by chance, and I made reservation without any hesitation. This is exactly what I wanted to do for long years and I was really happy to make it in Sydney with cheaper cost.

I found skydiving was a lot more relaxing rather than presentation in English to me!

たまたまホテルでスカイダイビングのチラシを見つけて、即刻予約。

以前大学時代の友達と兵庫県の但馬空港付近でダイビングをするために車で向かったものの、強風のために飛べなくなって諦め、その後チャンスがなかったものの、こんなところでチャンスが訪れるとは!!!　しかも日本よりもだいぶ安い!!!

で、スカイダイビングと英語でプレゼンだったら、英語でプレゼンの方がよっぽど緊張するということが分かりました。

ダイビング、楽しかった～♪（またやりたい）

Meiko's birthday

We had dinner together to celebrate Meiko's birthday.

She is going to be 63 years old on 7th of March.

母の63才の誕生日祝いとして帝塚山のレストランで夕食をご馳走しました★

自分のお金を使って、コンビニでプッチンプリンを買ってご機嫌の志門★

Simon was very happy because he finally spent his money to buy sweets at Seven-Eleven. 

Susumu's final lecture

Susumu is going to retire on the 31st of March this year and his final lecture was held on Feb 16.

It is a public event so I took half day holiday to participate it, as I was never sure what he was teaching!

It was mixed feeling to know how he was as a professor. 

I appreciate his work-life and I'd like to celebrate his happy retirement.

3月でついに定年退職を迎える父。

約20年間扶養してもらいながらも、その食い扶持である教義内容、専門性については全然わかっていなかったことに気づき、2月16日、最終講義が開かれるというので、半休を取って大学に行ってみました。

なんだか複雑な心境でしたが、無事最終講義も終え、いい形で定年退職を迎えられたことをうれしく思います。
